About The AI/ML Engineer Role

We are seeking a talented AI/ML Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of Rillet’s AI-driven workflows by developing and integrating sophisticated machine learning models into our core systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including product managers, designers, and finance experts—to define and implement ML solutions that address real user problems. Your responsibilities will include designing automated pipelines for training and evaluating models, ensuring their scalability and reliability in production environments, and helping to set the strategic direction for Rillet’s AI initiatives. This role offers a remote-first work environment with opportunities for travel to team events, fostering collaboration and innovation across our global offices in San Francisco, New York, and Barcelona.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in product-driven technology companies.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with libraries such as numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch.
• Hands-on experience with large language model (LLM)-based agent frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (required).
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Artificial Intelligence or related discipline (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within small, agile teams.
• Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on practical, user-centric solutions.
• Passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Define and shape Rillet’s machine learning and AI strategy for the future.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and finance specialists to identify and develop effective ML solutions.
• Deeply analyze user problems to determine the most appropriate methodologies and models.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated pipelines for training, testing, and deploying ML models.
• Integrate machine learning models into production systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Monitor and optimize model performance over time, implementing improvements as needed.
• Stay updated on emerging AI and ML technologies, incorporating best practices into Rillet’s workflows.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
