About The Role

The Administrative Assistant will serve as a vital support member for Dr. Deborah Lipstadt, a distinguished scholar and former U.S. Department of State Ambassador and Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative assistance to facilitate Dr. Lipstadt’s research, teaching, and policy development activities related to combating antisemitism. The position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including managing schedules, coordinating logistics for events and meetings, handling correspondence, preparing reports, and maintaining records. The Administrative Assistant will also support the development and operational activities of a new institute focused on public policy and research initiatives aimed at countering antisemitism.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of high school diploma and five years of administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as OneDrive, Zoom, and Teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively
  • Residency in the state of Georgia is required

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Dr. Deborah Lipstadt and the associated research institute
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for events and conferences
  • Respond to incoming calls and handle routine correspondence
  • Prepare reports, presentations, charts, and graphs for various projects
  • Assist in the preparation of forms, grant applications, and related documentation
  • Maintain and organize files, databases, and records
  • Oversee procurement of office supplies and manage inventory
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and related logistics for domestic and international trips
  • Monitor budgets, assist with financial tracking, and prepare expense reports
  • Support the development and execution of public policy initiatives and research activities
  • Supervise or direct support staff and student workers as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the department’s objectives
