Understanding Software Requirements and Design

• Analyze existing technology architecture, system interdependencies, and application stacks.
• Formulate project plans, outlining development steps for project management approval.
• Understand current operating procedures by consulting with users/partners/clients and reviewing project objectives regularly.
• Contribute to the automation roadmap design and testing process improvements through research and new solution development.
• Improve and maintain the automation framework for horizontal use across technology stacks, building reusable libraries for business lines.

Software Development, Execution, and Reporting

• Prepare the environment for execution, designing test plans, developing and executing test cases/scenarios/usage cases.
• Develop technical specifications and plans, resolving complex technical design issues.
• Participate in and conduct design activities with development teams for testing automation processes (functional and non-functional).
• Implement, track, and report key metrics to ensure full coverage of functional and non-functional requirements through automation.
• Eliminate errors by owning code testing and validations.
• Track problems, resolutions, and bug fixes, creating a comprehensive database of defects and mitigation techniques.
• Provide problem resolutions using all available research resources.
• Design, implement, and update automated testing tools for efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and automate processes for software validation, setting up and executing test cases/scenarios/usage cases.
• Develop efficient programs adhering to Wipro standards, using existing application logic, best practices, documentation, and design patterns.

Communication and Collaboration with Stakeholders

• Work with Agile delivery teams to understand product vision and backlogs, developing robust, scalable, high-quality test automation for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Assist in creating acceptance criteria for user stories and generating a test automation backlog.
• Collaborate with the Development team to improve continuous deployment practices through strategy development, process formalization, and tool provision.
• Work closely with business Subject Matter Experts to understand automation requirements, then design, build, and deploy applications using automation tools.
• Ensure long-term system maintainability by documenting projects according to Wipro guidelines.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with test personnel, users, developers, and clients for quick problem resolution and accurate success documentation.
• Provide assistance to testers and support personnel for system problem determination.
• Perform backend/database programming for key projects.
• Stay up-to-date on industry standards and incorporate them appropriately.
• Design, implement, and update automated testing tools for efficiency and accuracy.

Performance Measures

Success in this role is measured by:

• Automation Quality: Adherence to design, project plan, issue resolution, client escalation management, zero disruption/error in deployment, and early warning systems on risks with mitigation.
• Documentation: Complete documentation of automation processes, test cases, debug data, and performance reviews as per quality standards.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should possess 5-8 years of relevant experience.
