Application Support Engineer
Wipro is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join their team in NYC, NY. This role involves a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days onsite per week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide application support and diagnose issues, resolving problems and communicating status effectively.
- Manage user query mailboxes, ensuring timely and appropriate responses for all user inquiries.
- Develop support tooling and automation solutions using Python, Javascript, Kafka, and Mongo DB.
- Respond to and resolve feed support issues for Autosys and Python-based batches.
- Monitor critical trading system environments using ITRS Geneos, Splunk, and Dynatrace, managing alerts.
- Execute incident management, providing timely user notifications and necessary management escalations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and manage knowledge effectively.
- Coordinate and follow up on issue resolutions with various development teams.
- Assist with metrics reporting for Python-based systems and Java applications.
- Coordinate and perform Business Continuity testing, including related documentation.
- Independently organize and lead meetings for issue resolution.
- Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual and repetitive tasks.
