The Manager, Data Management & Governance serves as a senior strategic contributor in the Office of the CDAO, reporting to the Director of Data Product Strategy & Governance.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Governance Strategy: Develop and implement data governance strategies, policies, and standards that align with firm-wide objectives and regulatory requirements. Evangelize data governance models to deliver measurable business impact and improve decision-making capabilities.
Data Policy And Standards Development: Create and maintain enterprise data management policies covering data quality, privacy, security, and lifecycle management. Establish data classification frameworks, retention, archival, and disposal policies in compliance with regulations.
Governance Framework Implementation: Develop governance workflows and approval processes leveraging technology solutions including catalogs, lineage tools, and policy enforcement mechanisms to ensure regulatory compliance (SOX, GDPR, CCPA).
Stakeholder Engagement And Change Management: Deliver comprehensive training on data literacy, governance policies, and procedures.
Technology And Platform Strategy: Evaluate, select, and implement data governance technology platforms and partner with data architecture teams to embed governance controls into data pipelines.
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, or related field along with 8+ years of experience in data governance and related roles, and 5+ years leading enterprise-wide initiatives. Training in governance frameworks (COBIT, COSO) is required. Professional certifications (CDMP, DAMA, CISA, CRISC) and experience in highly regulated industries are preferred.
