About the Role
Wing is looking for a sUAS Flight Operator to join our Flight Operations team on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract. You will operate multiple highly autonomous small un-crewed aircraft systems for our Part 135 commercial drone delivery service in the San Francisco Bay Area. Reporting to the Chief Pilot or Assistant Chief Pilot, you will work with a team of technicians and field operators, monitor flight conditions, and ensure operational readiness.
What You’ll Do
- Report to the Chief Pilot or Assistant Chief Pilot.
- Qualify and operate as a Part 135 sUAS Flight Operator.
- Coordinate daily operations with the Flight Operations Manager.
- Communicate effectively with crew members during operations.
- Ensure technical and operational readiness of the Remote Operations Center.
- Maintain high professional standards as pilot-in-command.
What You'll Need
- Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate.
- Current driver’s license and a clean driving record in the past 36 months.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial or public UAS operations or equivalent education/training.
- Experience with web-based monitoring and control systems.
- Strong technical record keeping skills.
- Excellent communication in spoken and written English.
- Ability to work a rotating 7-day schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to travel for training and to meet FAA/PRD requirements.
- Possession (or ability to obtain) an FAA Medical Certificate.
