About the Role
Wing is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our Quality Team onsite in Chennai, India. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and disciplined, with robust experience in production quality, hardware failure analysis, and project management. You will work with cross-functional teams, including Contract Manufacturers, Wing Reliability, hardware and mechanical engineering teams, driving resolution of manufacturing quality issues.
What You’ll Do
- Set and execute advanced quality plans for incoming, in-process and outgoing checks.
- Define and review specification requirements with engineering and reliability teams.
- Analyze large data sets to identify trends and drive yield improvements.
- Perform incoming and final inspections and audit CM processes.
- Manage quality performance and drive continuous improvement across production phases.
- Audit suppliers and assess manufacturing processes for quality compliance.
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years in quality or reliability engineering managing product from NPI to mass production.
- BS or higher in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Industrial expertise in injection molding, CNC machining, die casting, mechanical assembly, and PCBA SMT.
- Strong background in developing robust, repeatable processes with process qualification and quality control.
- Familiarity with standards such as AS9100, ISO9001, TS16949, and IPC-A610.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools like JMP, Minitab, and Six Sigma methodologies.
