About The Role
Wing is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our Quality Team onsite in Chennai, India. This role requires a motivated, disciplined professional with robust experience in production quality, hardware failure analysis and project management. The successful candidate will collaborate with Contract Manufacturer (CM) teams, Wing Reliability, hardware, mechanical engineering, and more.
What You’ll Do
- Set and execute quality plans for incoming, in process, and outgoing checks.
- Define and review specification requirements with engineering and reliability teams.
- Work with data to measure quality and drive production yield improvement.
- Perform incoming and final inspections and audit CM processes.
- Drive non-compliance resolution and continuous improvement at CM.
- Manage CM line qualifications and quality performance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Identify potential suppliers and audit their quality systems and manufacturing processes.
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years in quality or reliability engineering at manufacturing scale.
- BS or higher in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Industrial experience in injection molding, CNC machining, die casting, mechanical assembly, testing or PCBA SMT.
- Effective cross functional communication skills.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001, TS16949, IPC-A-610 and related standards.
- Expertise in driving engineering requirements and quality improvement.
- Understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up and design.
- Proficiency with JMP, Minitab and Six Sigma methodologies.
