About the Role

Wind River seeks a visionary and experienced Chief Architect to lead technical efforts in cloud-native, edge computing, SDN, Linux systems, CI/CD, cybersecurity, and AI solutions. In this role, you will work across diverse technology platforms and industry verticals, ensuring strategic alignment and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Provide strategic direction for Linux, SDN, Kubernetes, Cloud, and Edge solutions.
• Solution Design: Architect scalable, resilient, and secure solutions for multiple sectors.
• Technical Expertise: Serve as subject matter expert in SDN, Kubernetes, Cloud, Edge computing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Innovation: Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance product offerings.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive project delivery.
• Mentorship: Guide engineering teams fostering technical excellence.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage customers and partners to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure solutions adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Linux, software architecture and design, focusing on SDN, Kubernetes, Cloud, and Edge computing. Proven expertise in leading large-scale, complex projects in sectors such as Telco, Aerospace & Defense, FSI, or Automotive.

Technical Skills

• Deep understanding of SDN technologies (control and data planes).
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong knowledge of Edge computing frameworks.
• Expertise in CI/CD tools and practices.
• Linux development including kernel module integration.

Soft Skills

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven interpersonal skills across diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI/ML integration in network solutions.
• Familiarity with security protocols in cloud and edge environments.
• Relevant technology certifications (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS Solutions Architect).
