Power Plant Electrician - WIN Waste Innovations

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Electrical and Instrumentation Technician. The primary function of this role is to safely and professionally install, troubleshoot, clean, inspect, calibrate, and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and distributive control equipment throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain facility equipment for safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform electrical preventive, repair, and calibration maintenance with minimal supervision.
  • Initiate, complete, and document work-orders and requisitions.
  • Respond to emergency repair needs during off-hours.
  • Provide technical support at other company facilities as needed.
  • Proactively identify and address improvement opportunities.
  • Assume increased responsibilities when required.
  • Complete corporate and plant training programs on time.
  • Utilize basic and precision measuring tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Follow standard safety procedures and report hazards immediately.
  • Understand and apply safety information, including lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Work overtime and rotating shifts as required.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Anticipate and address potential or recurring problems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment.
  • Operate various mobile equipment, including forklifts and manlifts.
  • Maintain a positive work environment through professional conduct.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the Industrial or Power Industry Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Field, OR a minimum of 2 years experience as a 3rd class E&I Technician with required instrumentation training/experience.
  • Possess necessary licenses to comply with State, Environmental, and/or Federal regulatory agencies; licensed Electrician as required.

Physical Demands

  • Standing, sitting, walking for prolonged periods.
