Role Overview

As a Data Engineering Intern at WillHire, you will support our data and infrastructure teams in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines. Gain hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools, cloud platforms, and big data ecosystems in a fast-growing HR-tech environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL pipelines for varied data.
  • Work with SQL/NoSQL databases ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Support API integration and third-party data source incorporation.
  • Help optimize data storage, transformation, and retrieval performance.
  • Contribute to data quality checks, validations, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Assist in developing dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
  • Research new tools, frameworks, and best practices in data engineering.

Requirements

  • Pursuing or recently completed B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MSc in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of databases, SQL, and data modeling concepts.
  • Familiarity with Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
  • Basic knowledge of data warehousing, ETL concepts, and pipelines.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their data services.
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive learning mindset.

Bonus Skills

  • Certifications like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure Data Fundamentals.
  • Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
