About the role
Analyst - System Administrator
The Analyst - System Administrator is responsible for managing and securing enterprise endpoints through Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and SCCM Operating System Deployment (OSD). This role ensures seamless device provisioning, application deployment, and compliance across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms. The administrator will design and implement zero-touch deployment strategies, maintain OS imaging processes, and integrate modern management solutions with traditional SCCM environments. Additionally, the position involves enforcing security policies, automating workflows using PowerShell, and collaborating with IT and security teams to deliver a secure, efficient, and user-friendly endpoint experience.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Microsoft Intune Administration: Deploy and manage Intune for MDM/MAM across Windows, iOS, Android, and macOS devices. Configure compliance policies, security baselines, and Conditional Access. Package and deploy applications (Win32, Microsoft Store, Line-of-Business apps). Integrate Intune with Azure AD for identity and access management. Monitor and troubleshoot Intune and Microsoft 365 services.
- Windows Autopilot Management: Design and implement Autopilot deployment profiles for zero-touch provisioning. Manage device enrollment workflows, including pre-provisioning and self-deploying modes. Configure Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) settings for smooth onboarding. Maintain Autopilot device lists, hardware hashes, and deployment policies. Collaborate with OEM vendors for device registration and lifecycle management.
- SCCM OSD (Operating System Deployment): Create and manage OSD task sequences for Windows deployment using SCCM. Develop and maintain WIM images, drivers, and boot media. Integrate SCCM with Intune for co-management scenarios. Troubleshoot deployment failures and optimize imaging processes. Ensure compliance with organizational standards for OS builds and patching.
- Security & Compliance: Apply security configurations, encryption policies, and endpoint protection. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Automation & Reporting: Develop PowerShell scripts for automation and reporting. Document processes, policies, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with IT, security, and compliance teams. Provide technical support for endpoint management and deployment issues.
