The Prepared Foods Order Writer at Whole Foods Market is responsible for ordering, replenishing, and merchandising prepared foods products while supporting regional purchasing programs and promotions. Responsibilities

• Purchase and replenish prepared foods following proper buying procedures
• Monitor inventory control and address open PO reports
• Control spoilage and shrink while achieving turn goals
• Assist with counter service and food preparation as needed
• Communicate ordering needs with management and vendors
• Support cost recipe development and special order procedures
• Maintain financial profitability and meet purchasing targets
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties ensuring sign and pricing accuracy
• Report safety hazards promptly

• Extensive product and merchandising knowledge
• Ability to negotiate and create price bids
• Strong math, communication, and team collaboration skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ordering systems

Work Experience & Conditions

Requires minimum 1+ years of buying/merchandising experience. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing/walking for extended periods, and performing various manual tasks in varying temperature conditions.

Compensation & Benefits
