Meat Team Member - Service Counter

About the Position

The Meat Team Member - Service Counter at Whole Foods Market supports counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the meat department. You will contribute to maintaining a fresh display, ensure high quality and safety standards, and help provide excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, clean and well stocked cases and shelves.
• Maintain back stock and assist with inventory checks.
• Support sampling programs and keep sample areas clean and appealing.
• Perform cleaning duties of cases, coolers, equipment and floors.
• Provide courteous customer service and adhere to standard procedures.
• Follow food safety, weights and measures, and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties, ensuring proper signage and pricing.
• Report safety hazards and ensure compliance with all protocols.

Job Skills & Experience

No prior retail experience required. A passion for natural foods, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in wet, cold environments.
• Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment safely.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals and temperature extremes.

Compensation & Benefits
