Job Overview
The Member Services Representative is the first face of the Whitin Community Center. This role is dedicated to welcoming and informing members and potential members with great customer service through in-person, phone, and electronic media interactions.
Shift Details
Shift: Sundays 6AM - 12PM
Key Responsibilities
- Greet all individuals upon entry and exit.
- Respond to member questions, concerns, and conflicts promptly.
- Provide tours for prospective members.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and body language at all times.
- Answer and direct incoming calls appropriately.
- Handle Splash Party requests and follow-up.
- Control access to building areas and monitor via security cameras.
- Check communications and memos for daily updates.
- Manage cash register transactions and fee collections.
- Register members/customers for programs.
- Distribute keys, member cards, and collect fees.
- Provide detailed information on programs, costs, policies, and events.
- Maintain an orderly desk with handouts and organized files.
- Enforce facility policies and coordinate with other departments.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
- Maintain accurate time sheets and follow processes.
Requirements
- High School graduate from an accredited school.
- Excellent customer service, oral, and written communication skills.
- Friendly, confident, outgoing, and patient.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Proficiency with telephone, computer, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
- Effective sales skills to answer queries and promote memberships.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
