Electrical Engineer at Whisker
Whisker, the maker of Litter-Robot, Feeder-Robot, and Litterbox.com, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design and development of SOC and MCU based products. At Whisker, pet parenthood can always get better and our innovative pet tech products transform pet care.
What You’ll Do:
The Electrical Engineer will design and implement products including analog front-end circuitry, high-speed digital interfaces (LCD, digital Camera, etc), Bluetooth, WiFi, system integration, analog power systems including SMPS, and interface with sensors and motors. You will work with cross-functional teams including firmware engineers and product managers to drive electrical engineering projects for connected pet care products.
- End to end ownership from concept to production
- Ideation, schematic entry, PCB layout, prototype build, and production oversight
- Conduct design reviews and develop test/validation specifications
- Perform digital and analog hardware verification and test report writing
- Collaborate closely with firmware engineers for system integration
Requirements:
A BS in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience with 7+ years in electrical engineering. Must have a strong understanding of embedded systems, digital and analog circuit design, PCB CAD (preferably Altium), and communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, BLE, WiFi). Hands-on experience with lab equipment, sensors, motors, firmware development, EMC/EMI design, soldering, and maintaining confidentiality is required.
