Whisker is based in Auburn Hills, Michigan and Juneau, Wisconsin with a growing presence in Austin, TX. We work in person 4+ days a week.

What You’ll Do

The Electrical Engineer will design SOC and MCU based products including analog front-end circuitry, high-speed digital interfaces, Bluetooth, WiFi, system level integration, analog power systems, illumination, UI components, sensors, and motors. You will work closely with the engineering team and product managers on electrical engineering projects for connected pet care products.

  • End to end ownership from concept to production
  • Conduct design review and testing processes
  • Collaborate with firmware engineers and product managers
  • Develop design, test, and validation specifications
  • Optimize designs for performance and cost

Requirements

BS in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience with 7+ years in the field. Must understand low-level embedded systems, digital and analog circuit design, PCB CAD (preferably in Altium), and communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, BLE, and WiFi. Proficiency with lab equipment and tools, soldering, and basic electronic hand tools is expected. Familiarity with EMC/EMI design is a plus.
