Senior Data Center Project Manager

Job Overview

The Senior Data Center Project Manager is a strategic leader responsible for executing Wheeler’s scope in a massive data center project in Millard County, UT. The role focuses on managing power generation infrastructure installation and commissioning across multiple buildings.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of Wheeler’s scope across data center buildings.
• Develop detailed project schedules and coordinate resources.
• Coordinate with general contractors and multiple stakeholders.
• Supervise team leads, technicians, procurement specialists, and yard personnel.
• Recruit, train, and develop additional installers and commissioning agents.
• Drive process improvements and implement SOPs.
• Ensure safety, quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
• Utilize Procore and other project management tools for progress tracking.
• Maintain relationships and provide regular performance reports to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, minimum 7 years of experience in large-scale construction projects, and proficiency with project management software (Procore) are required. Experience in energy and electric power generation projects is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree, experience with data center construction, familiarity with large-scale generation systems, and strong coordination experience with multiple trades are preferred.
