Resident Mining Technology Specialist

Overview

Wheeler Technology provides state-of-the-art productivity, safety, equipment health, autonomy and ruggedized network solutions for mine and construction sites. The Resident Mining Technology Specialist plays a critical role with responsibilities spanning multiple functions. This role requires a self-starter who is highly organized and capable of solving complex problems with limited supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Based in Ely, NV with potential travel across Wheeler’s territory.
• Ensure workforce, tools, and equipment compliance to internal, industry, and customer-site standards.
• Act as subject matter expert for compliance and reporting tools.
• Oversee shelf stock quantities and recommend reordering.
• Maintain tool and vehicle inventory, including scheduling repairs/upgrades, calibrations, and new equipment procurement.
• Engage in daily safety meetings.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain technology on the customer HME fleet.
• Perform quality preventive maintenance on customer HME fleet.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience or an associate’s degree is required. Mining experience is preferred. A high school diploma is required; higher education is a benefit.
