What You'll Do

• Take on heavy-lift engineering work, technical spikes, and platform upgrades.
• Refactor legacy components into modern, modular services.
• Lead proofs of concept in .NET Core adoption and containerisation.
• Support backend modernization including messaging and performance tuning.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and enhance developer experience.
• Contribute to the evolution of our event-driven architecture.

Technical Experience

• Strong development background in .NET and/or Java.
• Solid SQL-based data store understanding.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern workflows.
• Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with payment protocols or related systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional development experience.
• 3+ years building internal/external web services.
• Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with modern web frameworks and testing practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience with containerisation, infrastructure-as-code, or automation tooling.
• Interest in open source or personal side projects.
• Background in improving developer productivity and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience using AI tools in development.
