Job Overview
The Ramp Service Agent role in Calgary is a part time position averaging 20-38 hours per week. You will be responsible for moving connecting and local guest baggage safely and efficiently, operating ground service equipment airside, and supporting successful ramp operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver connecting and local baggage within established standards.
- Communicate with 3rd Party Ground Crew Chiefs for flight planning.
- Offload and transport baggage to designated carousels.
- Operate and position required ground service equipment safely airside.
- Perform basic maintenance checks on ground service equipment.
- Monitor parked and RON aircraft and report safety hazards.
- Perform additional ramp duties to ensure efficient operations.
Experience & Qualifications
- Shift work including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts.
- Comply with WestJet safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic computer skills and a strong passion for guest care.
- Possession of a valid Provincial Driver’s License and clear driver’s abstract.
- Able to obtain and maintain an Airside Vehicle Operator’s permit within two months of hire.
- Pre-employment drug screening required as per policy.
