About the Role

Launch your consulting journey with West Monroe. As a Mergers & Acquisitions Consulting Intern, you will work with our national M&A Practice serving corporate and private equity clients. In this dynamic role, you will learn to conduct operational and technology assessments during due diligence, plan carve-out or merger integration transactions, deliver post-close execution management, and advise on sell-side transactions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and C-level client counterparts.
• Support due diligence site visits to evaluate operational and technology strategies.
• Assess investment strategies against industry benchmarks.
• Prepare request lists, agendas, and support deliverable creation.
• Assist in post-close project execution to enhance value creation.
• Contribute to M&A methodologies and client delivery approaches.
• Apply emerging technologies including AI and analytics to drive value.
• Create work plans and statements of work for prospective projects.

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with expected graduation between Dec 2026 and Jul 2027.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Reside within 50 miles from the assigned office.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% (travel expenses covered).

Preferred Qualifications

• Majors in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related fields.
• Interest or experience with AI tools, data visualization, and automation.

Compensation

The pay rate for this role is $39.00 per hour.
