We are seeking a Business Development Manager, Lighting to co-create tomorrow's market vision with our Lighting Advisors.

What You Will Do as Business Development Manager, Lighting

As a Business Development Manager, Lighting, you will significantly impact the future of sustainable energy and Technische Unie's commercial growth. You will develop new propositions, build robust business models, and ensure our products and services make a tangible difference.

You will collaborate closely with purchasing, sales, and marketing departments, providing both content and strategic direction.

You will develop and secure new business within the Wire, Cable & Lighting product group. Leveraging your market knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit, you will translate trends and customer needs into concrete solutions that immediately add value for clients.

  • Develop and implement the vision and strategy for the lighting product category.
  • Identify market trends and customer needs, translating them into innovative propositions.
  • Prepare business plans per product category, including financial analyses and KPIs.
  • Stimulate optimal market penetration with sales, purchasing, and marketing teams.
  • Functionally manage and coach specialists and/or commercial inside sales staff.
  • Safeguard knowledge, develop sales tools, and strengthen our commercial effectiveness.
  • Utilize appropriate marketing resources to inform customers about Technische Unie's lighting proposition.
  • Conduct relationship management, connecting both internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring

  • HBO or WO education (Bachelor's or Master's degree).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development within a technical or commercial environment (8+ years is a plus).
  • Solid experience with lighting.
  • Competencies: customer-focused & commercially innovative, collaboration, conceptual ability, leadership, entrepreneurship, and developing others.
