About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a motivated Lead Information Security Engineer Cryptographic Products and Services to join a fast-paced team working on cutting-edge encryption, tokenization, and key management technologies. This role provides technical leadership as an individual contributor in designing, deploying, and maintaining cryptographic products including Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and security appliances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive design, deployment, and automation for encryption and tokenization products.
  • Provide technical guidance to teams for product delivery and maintenance.
  • Develop documentation including design guides, deployment strategies, and automation processes.
  • Support product audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Work with vendors to influence product roadmaps and enhancements.
  • Oversee engineering teams and influence design decisions regarding encryption infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in Information Security Engineering.
  • Advanced scripting/automation skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.).
  • Linux and Windows server management experience.
  • Experience with cryptographic protocols, encryption, tokenization, and key management.
  • Subject Matter Expert with Hardware Security Modules or security appliances.

Desired Qualifications & Skills

  • DevOps and CI/CD process experience.
  • Ability to work with Agile methodologies.
  • Public cloud and application development exposure.
  • Security and cloud certifications (CISSP, GIAC, AZ-900, etc.).
  • Experience mentoring less experienced staff.

Job Expectations & Benefits
