Wells Fargo is seeking an Equity Research, Junior Analyst - Auto as part of the CIB Markets Program Analyst. This role offers the opportunity to learn more about career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.
In This Role, You Will:
- Conduct the fundamental equity research process to provide differentiated industry and stock-specific content.
- Build and maintain financial forecasts and stock recommendations for our institutional investor client base.
- Communicate research findings to internal stakeholders and our institutional investor client base via consistent dialogue.
- Build strong relationships with Equity Research colleagues, Equity Sales, Cash Trading, Derivatives, and Wealth Management.
The Junior Analyst Will:
- Demonstrate subject matter knowledge within the Auto sector and a strong understanding of companies within it.
- Conduct rigorous analysis of financial statements and industry, company, and market data sets.
- Create and update financial models and databases.
- Author, with a Senior Analyst, differentiated research content on companies and industry themes.
- Attend company and industry events; cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts.
- Communicate research conclusions to internal and external constituents.
- Collaborate with research peers to support the generation of cross-sector research content.
- Utilize strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.
- Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of Markets experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
- A BS/BA or higher.
- Direct experience within the industry or equity research industry specific sector - Autos.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including a high level of proficiency in modeling.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial statement analysis.
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet application.
- Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.
Job Expectations:
- Willingness to work on-site in accordance with current office requirements.

- Registration for FINRA SIE must be completed within 180 days of hire date if not available for transfer. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
