About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking talent to join the 2026 Investment Banking Early Career Program in Corporate and Investment Banking. This role provides an opportunity to work for one of the most respected financial institutions in the world.
Investment Banking Overview
The Investment Banking team, organized by industry or product, focuses on understanding clients' competitive and operating environments through debt and equity underwriting, mergers and acquisitions, and loan syndications. Analysts may be placed in either an Industry Coverage or a Product Group.
Program Details
This non-rotational 2-year program starts in July 2026 with a six to eight week training in Charlotte covering financial accounting, cash flow, credit analysis, corporate valuation, and financial modeling. Analysts work on tasks including developing models, preparing client presentations, performing financial analyses, and participating in client meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze companies and develop financial strategies
- Build detailed financial models and conduct market research
- Prepare client presentations and research reports
- Collaborate with peers and senior bankers
- Ensure compliance with risk management and regulatory requirements
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Candidates should have at least 6+ months of Investment Banking Program experience or equivalent. Undertaking a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation between December 2025 and June 2026 is required. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a genuine interest in financial markets are essential.
Additional Requirements
Candidates must complete FINRA Series 63 (or 66), Series 79, and the Securities Industry Essentials exam within 90 days of hire if not already available for transfer. Background checks and compliance with Wells Fargo policies are mandatory. Only candidates authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship will be considered.
Benefits & Compensation
The role in New York offers a base salary of $110,000 annually with potential bonuses and other long-term incentives. Comprehensive health, retirement, and other benefits are provided.
