Investment Banking Overview
The Investment Banking group is organized by industry or product and is dedicated to understanding the unique competitive and operating environments of its clients. The team offers expertise in debt and equity underwriting, mergers and acquisitions, loan syndications, and advisory services. Analysts may be placed in an Industry Coverage or a Product Group.
Responsibilities
- Develop financial models and projections
- Create presentations and conduct financial analysis
- Conduct research and assist in advisory services
- Participate in client meetings and due diligence
- Collaborate with team members and management
Program Details
The non-rotational two-year program starts in July 2026 and includes a six to eight week training in Charlotte. Training topics include financial accounting, cash flow analysis, credit analysis, corporate valuation, and financial modeling. On-the-job coaching, mentoring, and feedback are provided throughout the tenure.
Locations & Compensation
This role is available in San Francisco, CA or Los Angeles, CA. The base annual salary is approximately $110,000, with potential discretionary bonus and long-term incentive awards.
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Applicants should have 6+ months of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications. Candidates are expected to have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. A bachelor's degree is required, with an expected graduation between December 2025 and June 2026. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and interest in financial markets are preferred.
Regulatory & Compliance
Successful candidates must complete FINRA registrations (Series 63/66, Series 79, and SIE) within 90 days of hire. The role requires adherence to Wells Fargo's risk and compliance obligations.
