Position Overview
The Assistant Research Coordinator at Weill Cornell Medicine assists with the coordination, implementation, and management of all aspects of clinical research studies. This role involves study design support, participant recruitment, data collection, and reporting, with strict adherence to study protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing research designs
- Coordinate recruitment and enrollment of study participants
- Assess patient eligibility and ensure proper consent protocols
- Conduct patient follow-ups and arrange diagnostic testing
- Collect, record, and analyze clinical data using statistical methodologies
- Prepare reports and maintain study documentation
- Assist in database design, programming, and management
- Support grant submissions and budget preparation
- Create and manage IRB/IACUC protocols
- Coordinate site visits, audits, and resolve compliance issues
Qualifications
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Approximately 2-3 years of related administrative support experience in a clinical, academic, or research setting is expected. Must demonstrate strong initiative, multi-tasking, and excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in MS Office and database applications.
