This IT Cybersecurity Analyst role involves establishing and implementing data security standards and criteria. The successful candidate will design, develop, deploy, and manage enterprise data security solutions, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data encryption, and cloud data protection, alongside data security governance and compliance initiatives. Key responsibilities include:- In-depth understanding and application of DLP, Data Discovery, Classification, Encryption, Masking, Tagging, and Governance principles.
- Conducting risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential data security threats, including third-party cyber risk.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement data protection measures and best practices.
- Providing expert guidance on data privacy management and risk mitigation techniques.
- Ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of data security KPIs.
- Monitoring and responding to data security incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Regularly reviewing and recommending updates to data security policies and standards to adapt to evolving regulations and industry best practices.
- Utilizing strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, IT, Engineering) is preferred. An associate degree, military or professional cybersecurity experience, and relevant certifications (CISSP, GAIC, MCSE, CEH, GICSP, CSSA, CISM) will be considered.
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in data engineering or database design/architecture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, OSCP, CCSP, GAIC, MCSE, GICSP, CSSA).
Desirable Skills Include Any Of The Following
- Active Directory Design and Management
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, .NET - VB or C#)
