Job Overview
WebMD's Medscape Medical Affairs division is seeking a Medical Writer. This role leverages scientific and clinical expertise to develop high-quality medical education content for healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Create scientific, medical, and clinical content for diverse healthcare audiences.
- Develop engaging PowerPoint presentations and text-based deliverables for multimedia programs.
- Ensure content aligns with program goals and client expectations.
- Engage with thought leaders and experts in specialized therapeutic areas.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical issues and therapeutic pipelines.
Medical Education Expertise
Create instructionally sound content using adult learning theory and instructional design principles while adhering to industry regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams to review work quality and productivity.
- Meet established timelines and performance standards.
- Maintain professionalism and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in medical writing and content development.
- Expertise in digital, virtual, in-person, and hybrid medical education programs.
- Advanced degree in a medical or science-related field preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
- Strong computer skills for remote work, including SharePoint and Google Drive.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.
