Position Profile
Weaver is seeking a State and Local Tax (SALT) Senior Manager to lead the Sales & Use (Indirect) Tax division within our SALT practice. This role involves managing complex tax engagements and delivering innovative sales and use tax planning strategies for a diverse client base. The Senior Manager will stay abreast of tax law changes across various states and communicate key issues and updates to the firm and clients. A crucial aspect of this role is developing Associates, Senior Associates, and Managers in both tax technical and client-facing skills.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- CPA, CMI, or JD.
- 7+ years of state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm, with a focus on indirect (sales & use) tax compliance and consulting.
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff and managers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills.
- Ability to attract and service new clients, and expand services to existing clients.
Compensation and Benefits
At Weaver, our people are our most valuable resource. We offer a competitive compensation package with an estimated range of $141,000 to $230,000 annually for this position in the California and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
