About The Role
As a senior sales professional, the Strategic AE Utility Business Development East is responsible for driving new business from electric utilities. You will manage the entire sales cycle from pipeline building to deal closing while engaging with key utility leaders and decision-makers.
Core Responsibilities
- Own key accounts across major utilities in the Central & Eastern US.
- Develop new leads and nurture relationships with utility leaders.
- Drive scoping discussions and negotiate contracts for large-scale projects.
- Coordinate with policy teams on regulatory engagement and filings.
- Create project proposals, presentation materials, and support project transitions.
About You
You are mission-driven and passionate about clean transportation and grid reliability. With over 5 years of high-profile sales experience in enterprise utility sales and contracting, you excel in managing complex deals and dynamic client relationships.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of enterprise sales/business development experience.
- Proven track record with electric utilities or enterprise software sales.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
- Experience in utility programs or electrical engineering background is a plus.
- Must reside in Central or Eastern time zone with access to a well-connected airport.
Compensation
The opportunity offers a base salary range of $140,000-$200,000 plus equity and benefits, with final compensation determined by experience and other factors.
