About The Crypto Team

About The Senior Software Developer Crypto Role

In this role, you will be instrumental in building Wealthsimple's non-custodial crypto infrastructure. You will bridge traditional fintech and decentralized protocols to create secure and intuitive crypto experiences for over a million users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and architect on-chain non-custodial products.
  • Design and implement integrations with leading DEXs, DeFi protocols, and wallet providers.
  • Enhance existing custodial crypto offerings with expanded asset selections.
  • Work with state-of-the-art blockchain technology including Ethereum and Layer 2 solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and set technical standards for crypto development.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven crypto/blockchain development experience.
  • Deep familiarity with DEXs, wallet providers, and smart contracts.
  • Strong grasp of blockchain fundamentals and crypto security practices.
  • Experience with Ethereum network, smart contract development, and Web3 tools.
  • Robust background in backend development using Ruby on Rails, Java, Kotlin, or Python.
