Senior Analytics Developer

About the Role

Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom. As a Senior Analytics Developer, you will own complex analytical datasets from raw inputs to well-documented models trusted across product, operations, finance, and regulatory teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality analytical data models.
• Own critical datasets powering client metrics and operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver durable data solutions.
• Establish standards for data quality, testing, and observability.
• Automate processes and apply AI-assisted workflows to improve outcomes.
• Mentor and support fellow analytics developers.
• Communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Role Requirements

• Experience with large, complex analytical datasets in production.
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling expertise.
• Product-oriented mindset with emphasis on long-term data usability.
• Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, Python, and cloud data warehouses.
• Ability to apply AI tools effectively and explain their impact.
• Experience in regulated or high-stakes environments is a plus.
