Job Overview
The Policy, Advocacy and Member Mobilization (PAMM) team is looking for a high-performing, detail-orientated and motivated Intern, PAMM to join the team who is able to work effectively on multiple topics. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage with policy at a global level and be part of an NGO at the forefront of business and corporate sustainability.
The PAMM team focuses on enhancing public-private cooperation, elevating policy discussions across climate, nature and equity, bolstering companies' policy engagement capabilities, and strategically positioning the organization at key events such as the different COPs. As an Intern, PAMM, you will have the opportunity to actively assist the team across these critical areas, gaining valuable experience and contributing to impactful global initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordination for Global Events: Assist in the operational coordination for various global events in 2026, specifically London Climate Action Week, New York Climate Week, CBD COP17, CCD COP17 and COP31, including using tracking tools to manage information. Support in organizing bi-weekly member briefing calls, preparing briefing documents to ensure staff and members are well-informed and prepared for upcoming events. Manage and respond to member inquiries received in the dedicated COP inbox. Aid in the distribution and delegation of blue-zone badges for COPs. Prepare content on the COPs for the member portal and draft daily bulletins for members during the COPs.
- Member Services: Provide essential services to members through consistent communication, including regular calls, monthly newsletters and short articles.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with all team members in PAMM to ensure the successful delivery of activity at global events, as well as with other colleagues across the organization, assisting in day-to-day activities as required.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experiences
- Relevant work experience or university education or equivalent – linked to public policy or sustainability.
- Relevant experience in sustainability and/or climate and environmental groups.
- Interest in working at the intersection of business, sustainability and policy.
- Understanding of the challenge of climate change.
- Proven track record in organizing work efficiently and prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Proven track record of communicating clearly and effectively, both verbally and through written work.
- Proven track record in conducting extensive background research in a time-efficient manner with the ability to write for a corporate audience.
- Excellent knowledge and use of PowerPoint.
- Flexible, willing to learn and attention to detail.
The position is full-time for the duration of 7 months (with a possibility of an extension). It is based in Amsterdam and will report to the Senior Associate, PAMM.
