BDO USA PC Information Technology Intern Summer 2026 Remote
This role is with BDO USA, PC and is offered in partnership with WayUp to hire top IT talent for a global $2B+ firm. The intern will gain exposure across various IT systems, workflows, and technologies to help identify a specific focus aligned with career objectives and the firm’s long-term needs.
Job Summary
The Information Technology Intern will analyze internal user needs, troubleshoot issues, design and implement solutions, and maintain systems for effective service delivery.
Job Duties
- Technical Support: Provide support on service tickets, perform remote troubleshooting, use ServiceNow Knowledgebase, log problems, and document resolutions.
- Security: Triage cybersecurity related incidents, gather incident information, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Application Development & Innovation: Develop custom web applications, integrate third-party software, benchmark systems performance, and create documentation.
- Data Center & Infrastructure: Assist in hardware installation, firmware upgrades, OS installation and configuration, and perform daily system health checks.
- Cloud & DevOps: Deploy cloud resources using Azure DevOps pipelines, provision cloud and on-premise resources, and manage security risk remediation.
- IT Operations: Support locally installed and cloud software, document IT processes, monitor a significant IT budget, and manage global laptop hardware.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be enrolled in an Associate’s, Bachelor's, or Master's degree program in Computer Science. Preferred knowledge includes developer languages (C#, Java, HTML, Go, Terraform), Microsoft Azure, PC/laptop and server hardware, and basic Cisco hardware configuration. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft MTA, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, and Cisco CCNA are a plus.
Software Experience & Other Requirements
Experience with Microsoft Windows, Server, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps/Github, and related tools is preferred. Excellent communication skills, strong teamwork, and the ability to multitask under pressure are essential.
Compensation
Hourly rates range from $21.00/hr to $25.00/hr in several states including California, Colorado, NYC/Long Island/Westchester, and Washington.
