About Arup Structural Engineering Intern

The Opportunity
As an Arup Structural Engineering Intern, you will create solutions for built-environment challenges using structural engineering principles. You will design structural systems, perform structural analysis, deliver drawings, calculations, reports, and presentations, while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary design team.

Required Qualifications
Pursuing a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field. Coursework should include structural analysis, advanced steel and reinforced concrete design. You should demonstrate professional demeanor, strong planning, communication skills, and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have a minimum GPA of 3.0, related coursework in structural dynamics, timber design, and earthquake engineering, and technical proficiencies in structural software (Revit, Rhino, SketchUp) and coding languages (MySQL, Python). Prior internship experience and active engagement in extracurricular activities are valued.

Compensation and Next Steps
The Newark hiring range is $26.50 to $38.00 per hour, reflective of experience and skills. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; qualified candidates may be invited to record a video interview before further steps.
