Role Overview - Privacy Engineer
This role will lead the technical architectural design and implementation of global privacy systems for EU compliance. The Privacy Engineer bridges legal requirements such as GDPR with technical solutions, building data pipelines, anonymization frameworks, and automated compliance systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect data systems ensuring strict GDPR compliance
- Develop anonymization pipelines for sensor and camera data
- Build scalable privacy infrastructure using C++, Java, and Kotlin
- Collaborate closely with Legal, Product, and AI/ML teams
- Conduct threat modeling and privacy impact assessments
Required Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5+ years in software engineering focusing on privacy/security
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, C++, or Java
- Deep understanding of GDPR and similar regulations
- Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks and cloud infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience launching products in the EEA or UK
- Familiarity with privacy-preserving ML techniques
- Experience building user facing products
Compensation & Benefits
The expected base salary range is $170,000 to $216,000 USD based on location and experience. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentives, and comprehensive company benefits.
