UX Design and Insights Team
Waymo’s UX Design and Insights Team combines designers, writers, and researchers to create delightful external products and internal tools. They focus on understanding diverse customer needs and challenging past assumptions to empower people with unmatched convenience and mobility freedom.
Role Overview: Market Research Lead
Reporting to the Head of Product & Customer Research, the Market Research Lead will establish and manage a new Market Research function. This includes building and mentoring a high-performing team of market researchers to support Waymo’s growth.
You Will
- Define and manage a new Market Research function with a small team.
- Lead market assessment, brand equity, and market health studies.
- Design deep-dive attitudinal, audience, and creative testing research.
- Develop vendor partnerships and internal capabilities for research.
- Collaborate with marketing, brand, communications, and UX design teams.
- Foreshadow market research needs and create a strategic research roadmap.
You Have
- 10+ years of experience in Market Research or Consumer Insights.
- Proven leadership experience managing market researchers.
- Experience working with brand and marketing teams to drive research initiatives.
- Track record in designing and executing multi-market research programs.
- Executive presence with strong communication skills.
We Prefer
- Experience in transportation-as-a-service or related products.
- Experience with international brand equity tracking studies.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and autonomous vehicles.
- Experience in managing global research initiatives.
Travel Requirements & Salary
Travel up to 30% based on research needs. The expected base salary range for this full-time position in the U.S. is $268,000—$340,000 USD, with additional bonus, equity, and benefits available.
