Role Overview

The Director Silicon Engineering at Waymo leads a world-class, versatile silicon team, overseeing the compute platform powering fully autonomous vehicle software.

You Will

• Lead a top silicon engineering team.
• Guide end-to-end execution of complex silicon projects.
• Establish design, verification, and physical design methodologies.
• Manage external partner relationships and deliverables.
• Oversee team budget, headcount planning, and resource allocation.

You Have

• Experience with high-performance silicon execution.
• Expertise in building and scaling diverse silicon teams.
• Deep technical knowledge in silicon development processes.
• Proven business and operational management skills.

• Leadership in cross-functional technical partnerships.
• Experience in automotive high-performance silicon design.
• Post-silicon quality assurance expertise.
• Familiarity with advanced packaging and FuSa principles.
• Experience managing geographically distributed teams.

Compensation & Benefits

This full-time hybrid role offers a competitive base salary with an expected range of $332,000 to $421,000 USD, discretionary bonuses, equity incentives, and a comprehensive benefits program.
