Role Overview - Machine Learning Scientist I

You will be part of a cross-functional team focused on designing, building, deploying, and refining large-scale machine learning and AI models to solve real-world problems for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy scalable ML/AI models.
  • Collaborate with commercial stakeholders, engineers, analysts, and product managers.
  • Work with infrastructure and ML platform teams to develop production grade services.
  • Identify new opportunities from data insights and optimize models.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach in problem solving.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of industry experience with a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Python ML ecosystem (numpy, pandas, sklearn, XGBoost, etc.).
  • Strong theoretical and hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience or understanding of search, recommendations, and ranking in e-commerce.
  • Knowledge of Apache Spark ecosystem or Java experience.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (GCP, AWS, Azure) and ML orchestration tools.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
