Overview

The Data Scientist II, Customer Technology role at Wayfair is part of the SCRT Data Science team in Bengaluru, India. The team is dedicated to integrating analytics into supply chain & retail technology tools, unlocking insights to drive cost-efficient, perfect orders at scale using AI and advanced data science techniques.

What You'll Do

  • Own insights driving the SCRT product roadmap in Fulfillment, Transportation and Service Technology.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis and apply advanced data science models.
  • Leverage AI-powered platforms to enhance analytical frameworks and automate data discovery.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and design teams to drive decision making.
  • Build machine learning proofs-of-concept using Python and develop effective data visualizations.
  • Stay updated on AI and machine learning advancements in supply chain and logistics.

What You'll Need

  • Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python (preferred), R, SAS, or SPSS.
  • Ability to conduct quantitative analyses on large complex datasets.
  • Experience with A/B testing, multivariate experiments, and statistical analysis for business decisions.
  • Strong background in using AI-powered platforms and data visualization tools like Looker and GBQ.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's in a quantitative discipline; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience.
