About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Analytics & Insights team. You will be responsible for reporting, analytics, data flows, visualization, and business intelligence operations. Your work will include extracting data from source systems, building visualizations in Looker, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to transform raw data into actionable insights.

Job Duties

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define BI requirements.
• Develop data pipelines from various sources to clean and aggregate data.
• Create dashboards and visualizations using Looker and other BI tools.
• Analyze KPIs with visualization tools and statistical techniques.
• Engage in predictive and prescriptive analytics projects to support business decisions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must Have: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong math and statistical analysis, proficiency in data visualization, and ability to translate business imperatives into data insights.

Nice to Have: Experience with Python or R, familiarity with AWS Sagemaker or Google Vertex AI, and knowledge of Kafka as a data source.

Qualifications Required

• Post-secondary education in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3-5 years quantitative analysis experience, preferably in Telecom/ISP.
• Proficient in SQL, database structures, and data lake architectures.
• Experience in building BI solutions with Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Suite.

Additional Information

The base salary range for this position is $75,900 - $84,300 USD for US residents or $75,200 - $83,600 CAD for Canadian residents. Compensation may vary by location, experience, and qualifications. Tucows provides a total rewards offering including fair compensation and generous benefits.
