How You'll Help Us Achieve It

As a Product Manager at Wave Mobile Money, you will lead cross-functional teams, define product goals and roadmaps, and drive user research. You will write design docs and facilitate fast, asynchronous decisions. Over-communicating context and aligning priorities is key, as is adapting quickly based on feedback.

• Own a product or feature holistically, including internal tools.
• Gather user feedback directly and via data analysis.
• Prioritize problems blocking product growth and impact.
• Manage a small product team through rapid iteration.
• Champion user needs and ensure effective communication across cultures.

Key Details

This is a fully remote role with candidates based in select talent hub countries or operating markets in Africa. A yearly stipend of $1,200 supports coworking meetups. Travel to operational markets (e.g., Senegal or Côte d'Ivoire) is expected at least once per quarter. Salaries are competitive, ranging from $142,200 to $213,400 USD, plus a generous equity package. Major benefits include subsidised health insurance, retirement contributions, 6 months of fully paid parental leave, subsidised fertility assistance, flexible vacation, and a $10,000 annual charitable donation matching.

Requirements & Ideal Candidate

Applicants should have 5+ years of product management experience in fast-paced, high-ownership environments. Strong communication, a user-first mindset, and the ability to coordinate across diverse teams are essential. Bonus qualifications include conversational French, experience in consumer fintech, and being a mobile money user in Sub-Saharan Africa.
