Endpoint Engineer

We are looking for an independent and driven Endpoint Engineer to build and improve our enterprise endpoint infrastructure, ensuring seamless employee productivity and security across our rapidly scaling business.
Role Specificities
As an Endpoint Engineer at Wave, you will join an autonomous IT team reporting directly to the IT Director. You will have end-to-end ownership of the endpoint infrastructure, from design to deployment and maintenance. This role is crucial during a period of IT organizational transformation, moving towards skilled ownership of specific areas. You will manage the entire endpoint stack for macOS, ChromeOS, Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
In This Role You’ll
- Design, build, implement, and maintain scalable and performant endpoint management infrastructure for Wave's global fleet.
- Deliver critical endpoint management efficiencies through bespoke software development and implementation of industry-standard tooling.
- Employ modern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies and GitOps-driven solutions for fleet management at scale.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fleet management infrastructure, deploying across multiple clouds (Azure, GCP) and geographies.
- Drive initiatives to adopt emerging technologies and best practices to optimize processes for scalability and operational efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless endpoint user experiences while maintaining strict security standards.
Key Details
- Work Arrangement: Remote with working hours aligned to GMT +/- 1.
- Travel: Annual one-week immersion trip to Africa (all costs covered). Travel to operating countries may be required up to 50% in the first year.
- Compensation: Competitive salary range of $133,100 to $194,200 USD (paid in local currency equivalent) plus a generous equity package.
- Benefits: Subsidized health insurance, retirement contributions, 6 months fully paid parental leave, subsidized fertility assistance, unlimited vacation (20-day minimum), and $10,000 annual charitable donation matching.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as an Endpoint Engineer.
- Experience managing multiple, international sites with single sites of 2,000+ endpoints.
- Good communication skills with stakeholders and expectation management.
- Willingness to travel to operating countries as required.
You might be a good fit if you
- Are proficient in Python, Bash, and Powershell scripting languages.
- Have extensive experience with Jamf PRO, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Intune, as well as similar cloud identity providers.
- Demonstrate success with open-source endpoint management tooling (Salt, Puppet, Munki, osquery, etc.).
- Have a history of developing and delivering secure, reliable, scalable technology solutions.
- Possess deep knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices and GitOps workflows (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Have experience integrating fleet management infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Proven track record of deploying and operating fleet management infrastructure in public cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
- Are familiar with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST.
- Have strong soft skills, including stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration.
- Speak French or are interested in learning.
- Are excessively detail-oriented and seek to achieve excellence.
- Are a self-starter, proactive, and comfortable owning projects autonomously.
- Are comfortable with over-communication and overreaching in coordination.
