About the role
A manufacturing-focused organization is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead the implementation of a new ERP system and act as a strategic technology partner to the business. The role initially focuses on delivering a successful ERP deployment before transitioning into ownership of IT operations, ERP administration, business intelligence, reporting, cybersecurity support, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a highly visible leadership position working closely with senior leadership to modernize systems, improve operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Implementation & Project Leadership
- Lead end-to-end ERP implementation activities.
- Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resources, testing, data migration, go-live, and post-launch support.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders and external implementation partners.
- Drive change management, user training, system adoption, and process improvements across key business functions.
IT Leadership & Systems Administration
- Serve as the primary ERP administrator after implementation.
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure, vendor management, and user support.
- Develop and execute technology strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead ongoing system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Create executive dashboards and KPI reporting.
- Develop reporting and analytics solutions using ERP data, SQL, reporting tools, and Power BI.
- Automate recurring reports and enable self-service reporting capabilities.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reporting accuracy across the organization.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Support cybersecurity programs, governance, and access controls.
- Maintain IT controls and data governance practices.
- Assist with compliance initiatives within a regulated operating environment
Required Experience
- 7+ years of ERP implementation and/or administration experience.
- 3+ years leading enterprise software implementation projects.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing business processes.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
Preferred Experience
- ERP implementation/administration expertise.
- Experience within manufacturing or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of SQL Server, reporting tools, Power BI, Microsoft 365, Azure, APIs, and workflow automation.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance frameworks.
- PMP and/or ITIL certifications preferred.
