The Opportunity: Software DevOps Engineer Trainee
We are excited to offer a paid internship opportunity at Wärtsilä Voyage d.o.o. Beograd. This is a unique chance to join a dynamic DevOps team supporting cloud production systems for a complex maritime optimization platform. You will gain hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes-based workloads in a learning-by-doing environment, supported by experienced professionals.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting cloud production systems for a complex maritime optimization platform.
- Assisting with CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
- Contributing to cloud infrastructure management.
- Working with Kubernetes-based workloads.
- Learning and applying best practices in DevOps under guidance.
Skills & Knowledge (Nice to Have, Not Mandatory)
- Basic Linux command line proficiency.
- Some scripting/coding experience.
- A rough understanding of cloud computing, CI/CD principles, and containers.
- Familiarity with AI-based tools (LLMs, code assistants) and comfort in using them as engineering aids.
- Currently studying a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Systems and Networks, Network Engineering, Information and Communication Systems, or Distributed Systems Engineering.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in the maritime industry, particularly port operations or logistics, is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistical industry practices is also advantageous.
- Fluent English.
