Compliance Manager Trade Finance Export Control
We are now looking for a Compliance Manager – Trade Finance and Export Control to join our team working for a better future.
The location for the position is in Porriño, Spain, but also other locations across Spain can be considered, if the candidate is willing to travel to Porriño at least once per quarter.
What You Will Be Doing
We are looking for a Trade Finance and Export Control to join our forward-looking Sales Support team for ensuring quality and speed of response for continued high quality customer service.
As a Compliance Manager – Trade Finance and Export Control, your work will focus on the following responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with trade finance regulations, export controls, embargoes, sanctions screening, KYC, and confidentiality requirements.
- Identify and request projects that require export licenses and stay informed about related regulations.
- Conduct compliance checks related to trade finance transactions, including sanctions and customer due diligence.
- Manage confidential information securely and ensure data privacy in compliance processes.
- Provide in-house advisory support for contract-related compliance questions and consultations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve compliance issues and share best practices.
- Monitor compliance data and suggest improvements to processes.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations and advise the company accordingly.
- Support compliance training and reporting.
- Lead small projects and assist colleagues as needed.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Experience in export control.
- Strong knowledge of trade finance, export controls, sanctions, KYC, confidentiality rules, and contract compliance.
- Ability to communicate complex compliance topics clearly.
- Good stakeholder management and teamwork skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to coach others.
- Good written and spoken English language skills.
- Willingness to travel about 20% (mostly virtual meetings).
