About the Media Supply Chain Team
The Media Supply Chain team is responsible for architecting, engineering, and program managing a wide range of applications, workflows, and services for our internal partners. These partners operationally manage and distribute Warner Bros. Discovery content globally. Our technology solutions handle scheduling, image and asset metadata management, content processing, delivery, mastering, localization, and preservation. We are at the forefront of pioneering new methods to process and deliver WBD content to its global customers.
Work Experience
- 4+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in the data / search space.
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with AWS highly preferred.
- Familiarity with one or more modern NoSQL database technologies such as Mongo, ElasticSearch, OpenSearch, or DocumentDB highly preferred.
Required Knowledge/Skills
- Proficient with 4+ years of experience in one or more modern programming languages such as Javascript/Typescript, Go, Java, C#, Python.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data structure fundamentals.
- Experience in event-based architecture using services such as Apache Kafka, SNS, SQS, Lambda.
- Experience with protobuf and schema registry.
- Proficient in API design and development, specifically REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with micro-services architecture patterns.
- Experience with developing containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent.
- Experience with source code and knowledge repositories such as GitHub or GitLab and JIRA, Confluence.
- Knowledge of AWS resources such as CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS, IAM, S3 etc.
- Proficient in GIT.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code like CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Proficient in the SDLC in an agile environment.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills
- Understanding of semantic and vector search.
- Understanding of foundational AI models and prompt engineering.

This transaction is expected to close after the separation of Warner Bros. Discovery's Global Networks division, Discovery Global, into a new publicly-traded company, anticipated in Q3 2026. While you will initially be hired by Warner Bros. Discovery, your employment will likely transition to Warner Bros. upon the planned spin-off. Compensation
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation range for roles where legally required. Actual salaries vary based on external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and performance. The base pay for this Software Engineer II role ranges from $99,400.00 - $184,600.00 salary per year. This is one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package, which may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. Additionally, WBD provides comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, sick time, and vacation.
