About the CNN News Associate Program
Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery, where dreams are made and careers in journalism take flight. The CNN News Associate Program is a hands-on, rotational experience designed to develop your journalistic skills and jump start your career in news production.
Your New Role
Based in Atlanta for a 12-month period starting January 2026, participants will rotate across 3-4 assignments within CNN’s Atlanta Headquarters. Work closely with industry leaders, building skills in editorial, production, writing, reporting, and digital content creation. Work environments include office and hybrid arrangements with varied schedules, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, log, and write stories with editorial leads.
- Monitor multiple sources for newsgathering.
- Record video, upload images, and document details.
- Research and fact-check news scripts.
- Assist reporters on the field and at the bureau.
- Identify and pitch diverse voices in storytelling.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, or political science, or equivalent experience. Internship or news environment experience preferred. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and Microsoft Suite proficiency are required. Bilingual skills are a plus.
